Charles Holtzapffel and grand son John Jacob Holtzapffel published 5 volumes on Turning and Mechanical manipulation and related subjects.
Volume I was published in 1843 and volume V in 1884.
The V volume " The Principals and practice of ornamental or Complex Turning " ( By John Holtzapffel) is the bible for every ornamental turner in the world, this book has more then 600 illustrations in it.
